RESIDENT EASEL ZINE
I wanted to build my own creative outlet to marry film crit with my illustrations and Resident Easel zine was born. The brief for each issue is simple:
• Choose 6-8 films around a set theme
• Write up a paragraph about my own fascination with the film
• Write up a paragraph about my own fascination with the film
• Scour Letterboxd for 4 of the best takes on the film
ISSUE 1: FEMININE DOPPELGANGERS
For each spread I decided to choose two complementary colors, Blue and Red, to create all the watercolor images of the zine. I also thought it would be fun to choose colors that represent "bi" lighting, which thematically fits many of these films and their commentary.
